Final weekend of Bike Week expected to be busy

With beautiful weather in the forecast, the final weekend of Bike Week is expected to be busy. Attendees are reminded to wash up, back up and mask up in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus. While the number of cases has been trending down, residents and visitors are encouraged to continue to take preventative measures.

Daytona Beach merchants in the Master Plan, including a few on Main Street, are limited to 60% indoor occupancy and will be following CDC guidelines for face masks and physical distancing.

Traffic on Main Street is restricted to motorcycles only from Peninsula Drive to Atlantic Avenue through the weekend. Other motorists must use side roadways or receive special permission to access the area. Curbside parking on Main Street is limited to allow for greater physical distancing on the sidewalks. The Ocean Center has overflow parking in some of its lots and indoor parking at the facility through the weekend. Parking is available for $5 outside and $10 inside per motorcycle. For more information, including roadway details, visit the city’s website. For the schedule of Bike Week activities, visit the official Bike Week website.
