Free concerts at the Bandshell this weekend
Enjoy music by the ocean at this weekend’s free concerts at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell.
Friday night there will be performances by “Jaded,” a tribute to Aerosmith. Jaded includes a set list that encompasses enough of the 45-year history of Aerosmith to be representative of the actual experience of seeing the band live on any given night. The band has, through the study of the music being reproduced, discovered a true love for this first truly American rock and blues answer to the British invasion's Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, and feel that shines through in each performance. Most importantly, Jaded, the Aerosmith tribute is about having a good time with good music and good friends.
Saturday night, the Friends of the Bandshell present “In The Light Of Led Zeppelin,” a tribute to Led Zeppelin. This band delivers an amazing performance that is inspired by the musical evolution of both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. “In The Light Of Led Zeppelin” was created to pay tribute to this legendary songwriting team and has been performing the Led Zeppelin catalog for over 12 years in several international Led Zeppelin tributes. After years of performing together, it is easy to see how they evolved into delivering a concert that mixes the textured, refined and flavorful sounds of classical and world music including Egyptian and Middle Eastern orchestras that were so eloquently brought into the public eye during the now famous "Page & Plant" world tour.
All concerts start at 7:15 p.m. There will be food trucks and vendors on site. The Bandshell summer concerts are free to the public with the option to purchase VIP seats for $10 plus applicable surcharges. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs to the concerts or purchase VIP tickets, which include a seat. VIP tickets are available for purchase online or between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Peabody Box Office at 600 Auditorium Blvd.
