The City Island seawall reconstruction project began in November, with work taking place from Orange Avenue to Magnolia Avenue.
The project is replacing aging seawall infrastructure surrounding the island which will protect this important community space for years to come. Approximately 715 linear feet of seawall have been installed near Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Storm inlet installation is also underway. The project is supported by significant grant funding, including $98,000 for design and more than $1.3 million for construction through the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND).
