Homeowners are invited to a community information session 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Dickerson Center, 308 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Daytona Beach, to learn about the Hurricane Ian & Nicole Residential Recovery Assistance Program, which offers grants of up to $15,000 per eligible household to support home repairs related to Hurricanes Ian or Nicole. Dates for submitting applications in-person at the Dickerson Center are Feb. 26 and March 5, 12 and 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This program, offered in partnership with Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, provides grant assistance with no repayment required. Funds may be used for a variety of home repairs and accessibility improvements, including roofing, HVAC, flooring, drywall, electrical work, windows, doors and tree and debris removal.
To qualify, applicants must be Daytona Beach homeowners impacted by Hurricanes Ian or Nicole, meet income eligibility requirements, own the property, have no liens or judgments and have property taxes paid in full.
